  1. What is a CPHP?
  2. The CDC funded Centers for Public Health Preparedness are a national network of 30 academic institutions working collaboratively with state and local public health departments. Their mission is to meet national preparedness goals by providing life-long learning opportunities and by building a national resource to handle the next public health crisis.
  3. How many CPHP are there?
  4. There are 30 CPHP nationwide housed in schools of Public Health, Medicine, Veterinary, Dentistry, Community Colleges and other academic institutions. There are 27 CPHP that are housed in schools of public health.
  5. Who funds the CPHP Network?
  6. CPHP located at SPH are funded under ASPH's cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and others are funded through congressional earmarks.
  7. Can you suggest preparedness educational and training opportunities?
  8. Yes, ASPH promotes and helps disseminate the educational and training opportunities of the CPHP. You can find detailed information at the CPHP Network Services Page.
  9. Who is ASPH?
  10. The Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) is the only national organization representing the deans, faculty and students of the accredited member schools of public health and other programs seeking accreditation as schools of public health. www.asph.org
